Q.1 - I have a company with just 10 employees, can I set up a group scheme?
No problem, just give us a call at 1890 700 890, and we can set up whatever type of scheme best suits you and your employees.
We will be delighted to run through the options with you in detail.
Q.2 - I need to go into hospital, what next?
First things first, contact a QUINN-healthcare customer service adviser on 1890 700 890 to check your cover.
If you are referred by your GP to a consultant, let them know that you have private health insurance.
If you then need to go into hospital remember to bring your membership card with you, as you will be asked to sign a claim form in hospital.
The hospital then sends QUINN-healthcare the bills and in the majority of cases we settle these bills directly with the hospital. We will of course send you a letter which will explain what has been paid and to whom.
Q.3 - Am I covered straight away?
Everyone who joins QUINN-healthcare is covered straight away for treatment for an accident or injury and for out-patient benefits you incur after you join.
If you a transferring from another Irish health insurer and have already served your waiting periods you will be covered straight way. QUINN-healthcare will recognise all of the time that you have spent with your previous insurer, so that if you have served half your waiting periods, you will have just half to serve with QUINN-healthcare.
However, if it's your first time joining private health insurance or if it has been over 13 weeks since you last had private health insurance with an Irish health insurer waiting periods will apply and when your waiting periods has been served you will be covered for new conditions.
