QUINN-HEALTHCARE REDUCES PRICES,  INTRODUCES NEW SCHEMES AND BENEFITS, AND OFFERS FREE TRAVEL INSURANCE PROVING COMPETITION IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH

QUINN-healthcare has announced today that it is REDUCING PRICES on four of its existing core schemes and launching two new health insurance schemes.
The company has also improved the level of benefits available to its members and is now providing FREE TRAVEL INSURANCE.

This announcement comes on the back of a recent HIA study which shows that 11% of consumers were concerned about the rising costs of health insurance.

New Prices

  • With effect from 03 June 2008, QUINN-healthcare is reducing the price of four core schemes by between 5% and 20% for both new and renewing customers. These reductions cover the entire spectrum of the market and the reduced prices can be seen on the following schemes: HealthManager Starter, Familycare, HealthManager Gold and Essential Gold.

New Schemes

QUINN-healthcare is to increase its product range by introducing two new schemes:

  • Essential Plus Starter, which will provide cover for Private accommodation in Public hospitals and semi private accommodation in a broad range of Private Hospitals as well as maternity, cardiac, cancer and out-patient cover. This scheme priced at €449 for an adult is at least 20% cheaper than any similar scheme available on the market.
  • Essential Starter, which is the lowest cost scheme on the market priced at €295.00 for an adult is ideal for those who wish to have essential private health care.

Improved Benefits for all

As part of QUINN-Healthcare’s strategy in bringing continued innovation to the market it is pleased to announce the following enhanced benefits for its members:

  • Improved benefits including the best maternity cover on the market on our FamilyCare scheme. This scheme launched in 2007 is proving highly popular and is ideal for people with young children as it covers 50% of the cost of visiting your doctor or consultant, access to a 24 hour healthline, a child health support benefit of up to €250 following a stay in hospital of three days, as well as excellent maternity, overseas and hospital cover.
  • Increased Hospital Range with cover now provided in the Santry Sports Surgery Clinic which is a leading international centre for the treatment of sports and exercise related injuries. This is in addition to a further 14 facilities that have been introduced over the past 12 months including the Beacon Clinic, the Hermitage Clinic and the Whitfield Clinic.
  • Enhanced Customer offer – we continue to provide Free household insurance to the value of €200 to members who have Motor and Health cover. In addition we will also be providing members who qualify for this offer with Free Worldwide Travel Insurance.
