Privacy & the collection and use of information

QUINN-healthcare fully complies with the Data Protection Act 1998

Your medical information will be kept confidential and may only be disclosed - on a strictly confidential basis - to those involved with your treatment or care or their health professional agents.

We may grant access to non-medical information to others on a strictly confidential basis in the course, of, and for the purpose of, the efficient administration of QUINN-healthcare (for example: in connection with audit, systems development, managing or improving our services).

We may use anonymous data or disclose it to others, purely for research or statistical purposes.

We do not collect information about individuals, except where this is specifically stated and provided by you with your knowledge.

We do collect non-specific visitor information by means of a programme called Webtrends, on most parts of our site. This information is related to your browser and operating system and does not include any personal details.

We also use “cookies” which are alphanumeric identifiers that are stored by your web browser on your computer's hard-drive. These enable our system to recognise you when you visit the site. This helps us to track basic visitor information in order that we can better tailor the site to our visitors' needs. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but you can disable this function by changing your browser settings if you so wish.

We may share overall visitor trends and other generic information collected on this website with third parties but we do not pass on any personal details or personally identifiable information without your specific consent.

Information may be disclosed to others with a view to preventing fraudulent or improper claims.

Use of your information

How to access, correct or update your information

All QUINN-healthcare members have access to the information and content that you provide to us. You can easily edit or delete your personal information though the login section of our website. You will need your membership number and a password to access and change your information.
