Hospital Cover Benefits

Members of the Essential Plus Starter scheme are covered for a private room in a public hospital and a semi private or private room in a specially selected range of private hospitals. The Essential Plus Starter scheme includes a €50 or €125 excess per claim for private hospital charges. These excesses only apply to private hospital stays, this means that you will be required to pay the first €50 or €125 of your private hospital claim. This is not a per day charge, you will only be asked to pay an excess per claim.
