Hospital Cover Benefits
Members of the FamilyCare scheme are covered for a private room in public hospitals and a semi-private room in private hospitals. The FamilyCare scheme includes a €50, €125, or €200 excess per claim for private hospital charges. This means that you will be required to pay the first €50, €125, or €200 of your hospital claim depending on the hospital you choose. This is not a per day charge, you will only be asked to pay €50, €125, or €200 per claim.
With the FamilyCare scheme you are also covered for day-case procedures in the Mater Private Hospital, the Beacon Hospital and the Blackrock Clinic. A €200 excess per claim will apply to these procedures.
