Out-patient Benefits
Out-patient costs refer to medical expenses that you pay yourself on a day-to-day basis, such as GP fees, visits to consultants or fees for physiotherapy.
We will pay half the costs you incur on your PersonalCare policy for the following charges up to a maximum payment of €7,650 each year.
Consultant radiologist fees
Pathologist fees - 50% of the charges or €20, whichever is higher
Radiology and pathology charges
Hospital casualty charges
Physiotherapy up to a maximum of 25 visits per year
General practitioner
Certain medical and surgical appliances: up to the amount shown on the QUINN-healthcare approved list (please ask for details)
Travel vaccinations each year, up to a maximum of €60 when provided by a GP or consultant
Consultant fees (excluding maternity)
Approved complementary therapies: acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropratic and osteopathy
Reflexology - up to eight visits
Orthoptic cover - up to eight visits
Women's cervical cancer screening (at approved centres)
Blood tests for the purpose of prostate cancer screening (at approved centres)
Emergency dental treatment for and immediately following an accident: up to €510 for restorative treatment
The cost of non-emergency dental treatment each year, up to a maximum of €25
The cost of an eye test or glasses each year, up to a maximum of €25
The cost of one hearing test each year, up to a maximum of €40
The cost of speech and language therapy (on GP or consultant referral), up to a maximum of eight visits per year
The cost of physical therapy by an approved therapist, up to a maximum of eight visits per year
Visits to an occupational therapist or a dietician up to a maximum of five visits to each per year
Visits to a chiropodists,up to a maximum of eight visits per year
The cost of home nursing (on consultant referral) following in-patient treatment for a person aged 18 years or over, up to a maximum of €1,400 per year
QUINN-healthcare executive health check at a QUINN-healthcare approved centre every two years
QUINN-healthcare sports health screen at a QUINN-healthcare approved centre every two years.

The full cost of PET scans carried out on an out-patient basis in the Beacon Hospital and The Mater Private Hospital;
The full cost of CT scans carried out on an out-patient basis at Beaumont Private Clinic, Barringtons Hospital and The Charter Medical Diagnostic centre;
The full cost of colon cancer screening in five centres; The Mater Private, Advanced Radiology (Rockfield, Dundrum), Barrington's in Limerick, The Mercy University Hospital in Cork and The Galway Clinic
The full cost of one hairpiece per year (following cancer treatment)
Manual lymph drainage for cancer patients. This advanced therapy improves the quality of life for many cancer sufferers. Members are entitled to claim up to €500 for this treatment
